Challenges we hear from SaaS teams
Whether you sell to start-ups, factories or hospitals, a paid ad program for software breaks in the same few places. Careful PPC management fixes them.
“Trial sign-ups are cheap, but few become paying customers.”
Broad targeting and a free-for-all offer bring people who were never going to buy. Each of them still counts as a cheap lead on the dashboard.
How we helpTargeting and offers shaped to attract buyers who fit.
“Cost per demo looks fine until sales says half were not a fit.”
A low cost per form fill hides the real cost. What matters is what each demo your team wants to take costs.
How we helpCost per qualified lead agreed with sales and reported monthly.
“LinkedIn is expensive and we cannot tell if it works.”
Clicks cost more there, and the sales cycle is long. Without lead quality and pipeline data, it is hard to judge the channel fairly.
How we helpA small, tracked LinkedIn test before any larger budget.
“Search brings the wrong people, including our own users.”
Customers who search for your login page or for support click your ads. So do job seekers and people hunting for free tools.
How we helpNegative keywords and clean intent groups protect the budget.
“Google Ads shows one number and our CRM shows another.”
Ad platforms count sign-ups, while your CRM knows which ones became opportunities. The two rarely match unless they are connected.
How we helpCRM outcomes sent back to the ad platforms.
“Visitors read the pricing page and leave.”
Most visitors do not sign up on the first visit. Without a reason to return, a click you paid for is simply gone.
How we helpRetargeting and focused trial and demo pages.
Every one of these starts with the same fix: define a qualified lead, then measure it all the way to pipeline. See our wider SaaS marketing approach

Three common starting points
Most SaaS teams arrive at one of these. We begin where you are.
You are testing your first paid channel
We start with Google Search on a few high-intent groups and a demo or trial page, with tracking in place before the first rupee or dollar is spent.
Suits: Early-stage teams with a clear product and a defined buyer.
Your ads run, but demos are low quality
We audit the account, clean up intent groups, tighten the offer and connect CRM outcomes so the ads learn from real leads.
Suits: Teams paying for sign-ups that sales does not want.
You are scaling and need pipeline reporting
We add LinkedIn or retargeting next to working search, and report cost per qualified lead and pipeline by channel.
Suits: Teams moving from one channel to several.

Google Ads for SaaS
Buyers searching for a tool like yours
Search is usually where we start, because the buyer is already looking. We group keywords by intent: the problem you solve, the category, alternatives to a named tool, integrations and your own brand. Each group gets its own ads and page, and we block existing users, job seekers and free-tool hunters.
- Intent groups: problem, category, alternative, integration
- Brand and competitor terms handled with a plan
- Negative keywords for login, support and jobs
- Sign-ups and demos counted as conversions
Best for
Teams with a defined category or problem that buyers search for
Where it runs
Google Search, with Performance Max tested only after tracking is proven
Who it reaches
People searching Google for software like yours
LinkedIn Ads for SaaS
Decision-makers you can name by title and company
LinkedIn lets you pick buyers by job title, seniority, company size and industry, and match your CRM lists. Clicks cost more than on Google, so we test one audience and one offer, often a demo or a useful document, then scale only what your sales team accepts. Profile and organic work sit on our LinkedIn marketing page.
- Audiences by title, seniority and company size
- Lead Gen Forms and landing page offers
- Matched audiences from your CRM lists
- Quality checked with sales before scaling
Best for
Higher-priced software where one new customer is worth a lot
Where it runs
Sponsored Content, Lead Gen Forms, document ads and message ads
Who it reaches
Decision-makers by role, company size and industry
Meta retargeting for SaaS
Visitors who saw your product and left
Few buyers sign up on the first visit. Meta ads bring back people who read your pricing or feature pages, watched a demo video or joined a webinar, with a reason to return. We keep it to retargeting and customer-list audiences, not cold audiences, until search and LinkedIn are working.
- Audiences from site visits and webinar lists
- Short proof and demo-offer creatives
- Frequency kept in check
- Results compared with search and LinkedIn
Best for
Teams that already get visitors and want more of them to return
Where it runs
Facebook and Instagram feeds, Stories and Reels
Who it reaches
Your own site visitors and customer lists
Trial and demo landing pages
Every visitor who clicks an ad
A good ad sent to a general home page wastes the click. We build a focused page for each offer, with one promise, one proof point and a short form that screens for fit. Larger site and conversion work sits on our website design and conversion page.
- One page per audience and offer
- Short forms that screen for fit
- Speed and mobile checks before launch
- Variants tested against the current page
Best for
Campaigns where visitors arrive but few request a demo or start a trial
Where it runs
Landing pages built to match each ad group
Who it reaches
Every visitor who clicks a paid ad
Pipeline tracking and reporting
Founders, marketing leads and sales heads who want one number
Ad platforms only know about the sign-up. Your CRM knows what came next. We connect sign-up, demo and opportunity data so cost per qualified lead and pipeline by channel can be read in one place. The setup draws on our analytics and CRM work.
- Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager in your name
- CRM stages matched to ad clicks
- Outcomes sent back to the ad platforms
- Trial-to-paid and demo-to-opportunity reports
Best for
Teams whose ad numbers and CRM numbers disagree
Where it runs
Your analytics, CRM and a shared dashboard
Who it reaches
Your leadership, sales and marketing teams
How a SaaS PPC program goes from diagnosis to pipeline
Search ads can bring first sign-ups within weeks. Qualified demos and pipeline depend on your sales cycle, so we never promise a number of demos or customers. We review the numbers with your team every month.

You get: Conversions that match your CRM

We review search terms and lead quality every week, stop waste and test new offers and pages.
You get: A falling cost per qualified lead
Every month: Pipeline review
We review qualified leads, opportunities and spend with your team, then agree what to scale, test or stop.

SaaS PPC agency FAQs
Plain answers on cost, measurement, ownership and how we work with US and Indian SaaS teams.
What does a SaaS PPC agency do?
A SaaS PPC agency plans, builds and runs paid ads that bring trials and demo requests, mainly on Google and LinkedIn. That covers keywords and audiences, ad copy, landing pages, tracking and reports. A good one also connects results to your CRM, so cost per qualified lead and pipeline can be seen.
How much does SaaS PPC management cost in India?
There are two costs: the ad spend paid to Google or LinkedIn, and the agency fee. The India guide by upGrowth (updated September 2026) lists retainers from about Rs 20,000 to Rs 3,00,000 a month, or 10-20% of ad spend, and suggests Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 3,00,000 of monthly media budget for SaaS or business-to-business. These are market ranges, not our quote.
How much does SaaS PPC cost for a US company?
SaaSHero, a US agency, published a pricing guide in January 2026 (updated October 2026) that puts B2B SaaS performance marketing agencies at about $3,000 to $25,000 or more a month, or 10-20% of ad budget. It also says percent-of-spend pricing is often unworkable below $15,000 of monthly spend. These are one vendor’s published ranges, not our price. We quote after a free review.
Should a SaaS company use Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads?
Start with Google Search if buyers already search for a tool like yours, because they are looking now. Add LinkedIn when you can name the job titles and companies you want and one new customer is worth the higher click cost. Many teams run both: search for demand that exists, LinkedIn for buyers who are not yet searching.
How do you measure a qualified lead?
We agree the definition with your sales lead before spend starts, for example a demo request from a company that fits your profile, or a trial that reaches a set activation step. We then track it in your CRM and report cost per qualified lead next to the platform’s own numbers, so the two can be compared.
How soon will we see trials and demos?
Google Search campaigns can start sending clicks within a day or two of approval, and first sign-ups often follow within weeks. Qualified demos and pipeline depend on your sales cycle, and cost per qualified lead usually takes a few months to settle. We review with your team every month and never promise a fixed number.
Who owns the ad accounts and the data?
You do. Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta and analytics accounts are created under your business, with us added as users. Ad spend is billed to your own card. If we stop working together, the accounts, audiences, creatives and data stay with you.
Do you run Meta ads for SaaS?
Yes, mostly as retargeting. Meta ads show your offer again to people who visited your pricing or feature pages, joined a webinar or are on your customer list. We usually avoid cold Meta audiences until search and LinkedIn are working, and we compare its cost per qualified lead with theirs.
Can PPC help us show up in ChatGPT or AI Overviews?
Not directly. Paid ads do not decide which companies AI tools name in their answers; clear content, reviews and mentions around the web do. Google has also started testing ads inside some AI answers, and availability varies, so we check what your account is eligible for. Our SEO team handles the organic side.
Do you work with US SaaS companies from Chennai?
Yes. Our Chennai team runs campaigns for software companies selling to US buyers. Accounts stay in your name, we schedule review calls to overlap your business hours, and we can sign a confidentiality agreement. We do not have a US office, and we say so up front.
Do you guarantee trials, demos or revenue?
No. Nobody can promise a number, because results depend on your product, price, market and how quickly leads are followed up. What we commit to in writing is the work: an agreed qualified-lead definition, tested tracking, weekly changes and monthly reports against your target.
What do you need from us to start?
Access as a user to your current ad accounts, analytics and CRM, a short description of your ideal customer, and a call with whoever handles sales. If accounts do not exist yet, we help you open them in your name. The free review needs only your website and your ad budget.
